Week 11

This was the last week of classes. I am a little sad that the year is over. I enjoyed my first year at UTM. It was challenging, however it was an experience. We did not do much this week in class for CSC148. It was mostly review for the upcoming exam. I have started studying for it, but I am still nervous as Dan said that there will be a very hard question on it. Furthermore, we also had exercise 4 due. I didn't know that you were supposed to return a BST Node, good thing that I caught it on the discussion board. There were no labs this week, so it was nice to go home early on Tuesday. The year is over, and I will be in 2nd year soon. In summary, this is probably my last slog entry. I wish everyone good luck on their exams and future.

Week 10

This previous week was calm for me school wise. I didn't have much due, other than to study for the CSC148 test. I feel that the test was fair, and that I was ready for it. It got marked very fast, and I can't wait for Wednesday to come to pick my test up to see where I made my mistakes. We didn't cover anything new in class today, as Monday was review, Wednesday the test, and Friday the test review. I am going to be honest, I really enjoyed CSC148. The labs were awesome. In conclusion, I am quite sad that the last lab was last week. I feel that the labs really helped out, especially with linked lists. I really don't like linked lists, but its something I have to work on for next year. In summary, this week had its ups and downs and I got through it  which I am happy about.

Week 9

I was busy this weekend, so I didn't get to do an entry and this one is sort of late. I think that last week was very hectic for me. I had four things to do academically, a French quiz, CSC148 Assignment 2 Part 2, MAT135 test, and French composition. I am happy that I finished all of them, and that I made through last week. I found last week's lab pretty challenging, I finished part 1 but it took the whole lab. This meant that I had no time to work in part 2. I think that A2 Part 2 was challenging as well, especially regex_match. It was a mission, and I felt very accomplished when I finished it.

Week 8

This week has been very busy for me. I had a lot of stuff due, and still do for the upcoming week. I have been working hard with the CSC148 assignments. I finished A2 Part 1, E3 part 2, and started A2 Part 2. I find A2 Part 2 quite challenging, and time is ticking. Dan said there will be no extension, so that is not good. I have a calculus test this Friday, so I am quite stressed at the moment. I liked this week's lab, I nearly finished it so I am happy about that. Furthermore, I liked this week's lectures. I understood the concepts, and found them interesting. I have to stay on top of CSC148 lectures, since the second test is also coming up. We also got our A1 marks back, I am quite happy with my results. However, I think that I could have done better. That said, I also want to do just as well on A2 although it does not look as easy. In conclusion, I really hope to do well in this course.

Week 7

Hey, so there is legit 3 more weeks of school left I think. I cannot believe it, my first year in university is almost over. I got my test back, and wish that I had not done such silly mistakes. Furthermore, I enjoyed the classes this week. I feel that I understood the content and can implement it on my own. This week's lab was the same as last week, and I barely finished the enqueue method. I hope that the question for linked lists on the second midterm will not take me as long to finish. Assignment 2 is due this Sunday, and I have started it. It took me a while to understand it, and the discussion board questions were helpful as well. Dan was away this Friday, so Brian the TA came and taught. It was rather good, so thanks Brian.In conclusion, I have not achieved much this week for CSC148 other than understanding the lecture content.

It's Friday, so time to make a post about CSC148

So, I sat in the back today and all the lights in the room were on which made it very hard to see what Dan was coding. Anyways, the midterm marks are up. I am pretty disappointed  quite so much in my mark that I am listening to this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9dli2lagTw and laughing when Drake sings in Spanish to cheer myself up. I feel that the test was not hard, but I slipped on it like a penguin slipping on black ice if you know what I mean. Anyways, I just started A2. I feel that I made a significant progress, so I am happy about that. I hope to finish it up soon, maybe by this weekend so that I can relax over the week.

I don't really have anything to talk about right now other than what's already said since I made a post 2 days earlier. However, I don't know why  but I am liking these slogs. It's sort of fun, and anonymous right? I currently got 50 viewers, that's like 3/4 of the class so I am getting enough hits. That was a joke, but seriously I think I got 0 followers. Anyways, it's 11:20 am, and I am going to bed. I wish all my readers a good weekend.

Week 6

Today I wrote my Computer Science mid-term. I found it quite easy, although I am not too sure on how I did on the third question. However, I'd like to thank Dan for making it easy enough. Thanks! So, this week I think that the biggest accomplishment I had was to finish this mid-term. Furthermore, I think that this week's lab was confusing. It was not hard, but it was confusing because a linked list in a queue was hard to implement. I got confused with stacks and queues because, the methods of a linked list was too much to understand all at once. Anyways, I am quite happy with how CSC148 is going at the moment. In conclusion, the lab was the hardest thing i had for CSC148 this week so far. I will start assignment 2 part 1 tomorrow night. I really hope it is not as confusing as assignment 1.
